A micro Sikh wedding with 3 days of celebration of ceremonies in Kitchener and Brampton. Haldi ceremony provides the chance to get a glow for the couple. Mostly done in yellow attire, the couple turns in yellow after apply haldi.
Mehandi night is start of getting ready for the bride. Its requires lot of patience for the bride to sit 4-6 hours of sitting to apply mehandi. It is also followed with folk songs and dancing. Highly suggest to start the process in the afternoon to avoid late night fatique before your wedding day. Green is preferred color for the attire.
Anand Karaj took place at Nanaksar Gurughar in Brampton, followed by photo shoot at a near by park. Though early April, the weather was pleasant but we were missing the greenery and flowers.
Reception took place at Bukhara grill for the small number of guests. As usual the night wind down with lot of dancing.
Micro weddings are very common for immigrants with small families in Canada.
